Want to stop getting annoying notifications from someone that won’t stop messaging you on WhatsApp? You can now mute conversations using WhatsApp’s new mute feature. Watch this video to find out how to mute a conversation on WhatsApp.
To begin, open WhatsApp and find your conversation with the person you want to mute. Then, swipe your finger to the left over the conversation in the list to reveal more options. Then tap More. Select Mute. Then, choose how long you want them to be muted for – 8 hours, 1 week, or 1 year. Once you’ve selected the time limit, mute will be enabled. If the person sends you messages, you’ll still receive them, but you will not be notified of their messages, so your device will not beep or vibrate if you get a message from them.
You can unmute a contact at any time by swiping left on your conversation with them, tapping more, then selecting Unmute.
